DREAMERS

SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE ARE DREAMERS
Your dreams are your visions of where you'll be after the battle,
your prize at the end of your journey to success.

Your goals are the steps you take to finally attain your prize.

Unless you're willing to work hard and establish some
discipline in your life, all of your dreams
will be pipe dreams, little mental fantasy trips
that will never materialize.

Make concrete steps toward fulfilling your ultimate dream,

and start with solid objectives called goals.

Your dreams are where you want to go,
your goals are how you get there.

The first indispensable step to getting the
things you want out of life is this. Decide what you want.

Don't be afraid to think big and dare to be great.
Dreamers are not content with mediocrity.
They never dream of going half way.

BARRY GIBB: THE LAST BEE GEE GOES IT ALONE

May 25, 2014
With Maurice Gibb's death in 2003, followed by Robin Gibb's in 2012, the Bee Gees' long ride on the pop charts seemed to be over. But now the remaining member of the group, Barry Gibb, is back on tour, joined not by his brothers but by his son, Stephen. Anthony Mason goes on the road with Gibb, and talks with him about his music, his family, and his pop legacy.

BARRY GIBB HONORS BROTHERS AT SOLD OUT SHOW, REVEALS BEE GEES' BEST SONG

The Bee Gees sold more than 120 million records and recorded 27 albums in the band's five decades together. But there was always one song in particular that the Gibb brothers -- Barry, Maurice and Robin -- apparently all agreed was the best.
"Immortality."
Barry Gibb said the song was written for Celine Dion for her "Let's Talk About Love" studio album in 1998, and features the Bee Gees singing in the background.
As the only remaining brother in the band, Barry performed the hit for a packed crowd at the Hollywood Bowl on Wednesday night as part of his solo "Mythology" tour, rousing the crowd with the lyrics: "I make my journey through eternity, I keep the memory of you and me alive inside."
But that song was apparently one of the few things the brothers agreed on throughout their long career.
"The microphone was the one time the three of us communicated," Gibb said. "Apart from that, we argued all the time."
The concert proved to be a moving tribute to the band, with Gibb sharing stories and rare photographs of his former band mates and siblings.
"Maurice loved children and magic tricks. If he was around today, the iPad would be his world," Gibb said of his brother, who died in 2003 of cardiac arrest. "And Robin (who passed away two years ago after a long cancer battle) was two opposites. He could be in a fantastic mood one second, and not the next... I could never quite gauge that, and Maurice was the mediator between us."
Gibb even sang "I Started a Joke" with footage of Robin singing on the video screen with the band, giving the illusion that he was right there on the stage.
And the youngest Gibb, Andy -- who was just thirty when he died in 1988 from an inflammation of the heart muscle after battling years of substance abuse -- was certainly not forgotten, with Barry referring to him as the brother who was most like himself.
With his brothers gone, Gibb still makes his show a family affair. His son Steve played lead guitar and his niece (Maurice's daughter) Samantha joined him center stage for several duets. At various times throughout the emotionally-charged performance, Gibb appeared to get choked up honoring his brothers, and at the overwhelming support and applause from the audience.
Yet it wasn't all just about the Bee Gees either, rather a celebration of music as a whole, and of those who have made their mark. During his recent tour, Bruce Springsteen paid tribute to the band's Australian roots by performing "Stayin' Alive" in Sydney, so Gibb returned the favor Wednesday with his own cover of "I'm on Fire" after referring to the Jersey native as the "greatest artist" he knows.
Gibb went on to give his rendition of "Islands in the Stream" and the theme song from the hit motion picture “Grease,” which he wrote and was sung in the film by Frankie Valli.
Even more fitting? Olivia Newton-John was right there in the audience, singing along.

HELL A REAL PLACE
Our curiosity about the abode of the dead is not completely satisfied by biblical terms or verses. What we do know is that either eternal torment in hell or eternal joy in heaven awaits all people after death, based on whether they trust in Christ’s payment for sin or reject Christ.

I WAS THERE!
The Bible calls hell dark, lonely and miserable, a place of eternal separation from God. But God doesn't want anyone to go there. He wants a relationship with us through His Son, Jesus Christ, so we can spend eternity with Him in heaven. You don’t have to fear hell. Take time now to be assured of your place in heaven.

A READER'S BOOK REVIEW
7 Days in Hell will jerk you awake, and shake you by the scruff of the neck. It isn't God wanting to send you to Hell, it is Satan. But that cannot happen unless you make the decision to go there! Larry E. "Buck" Hunter makes that perfectly clear in his first person report after being shown hell graphically by our Creator.

You can be lost for eternity--yes; but you have to want to be. God makes it easy for you to be saved (Matthew 11:30). Mr. Hunter shows us plainly that we actually have to work at avoiding salvation. We have to fight God.

We have to embrace evil. Because, as Hunter points out, God is unwilling that any should be lost. The misery is unbearable in Hell, and there is no chance of release. Step by step, Hunter shows the exact truth of a very real place... A place you do not want to go...

"The Rivers Between Us" - Rayna & Deacon - Nashville

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwY7QVipMZU

Nashville Recap: Happily Never After

Nashville Deacon Tells Rayna Cancer
Remember how Friends‘ Phoebe Buffay never saw the end of sad movies as a child, because her mother didn’t want to bum her out? Maybe Mama Buffay was onto something.
Think about it: Scrubbed of its final few minutes, this week’s Nashville is a happy affair. There’s singing, there are meaningful gazes, there’s good music and there are digs made at Jeff Fordham’s expense.
Throw in a singing candelabra, and it’s practically a Disney movie.
But then there’s that last scene, with the confessing, and the slapping, and the crying, and the desperate hugging… and wouldn’t we all be much happier if the hour had closed on Deacon and Rayna taking their bows at the Grand Ole Opry?
Alas, series creator Callie Khouri — who wrote and directed the episode — likes it when we ache. So let’s all hold hands and review what happens in “That’s the Way Love Goes.”
A FAMILY AFFAIR | The hour centers on the 10th anniversary of Rayna’s Grand Ole Opry induction, a milestone marked with a celebratory concert. She asks her daughters to perform with her, which is very sweet. Maddie uses the opening to wonder why her mom hasn’t reunited romantically with Deacon. “I’m not sure what that looks like yet,” Rayna sadly tells her. (Psst: Maybe this’ll jog your memory, Ray?)
Rayna eventually calls Deacon and asks him to join them on stage at the Opry. “I just can’t imagine having that night without you being there,” she says, and it works: He and his guitar show up, just in time to stick in the craw of Luke, who’s there at Colt’s request. (Side note: Remember when Colt was an annoying little wannabe DJ? Thank goodness that phase passed quickly.)

JesMarie attended a local community college where she graduated with highest honors, earning a Liberal Arts Degree. She spent her childhood traveling the United States with her family, giving her an under-standing of the world at an early age. Currently JesMarie is working on a young adult novel based on the futurist journey of a young girl who grew up in a world that is like no other. Except one day she finds that this harmonious world she knew is not what it seems. And, she may be the only one who can awake the generations who have been manipulated.

BOOK 1: THE WAITING ROOM
This room that holds me is bare of all things personal. Blank of anything that gives life. The only thing that keeps me company is the clock on the wall. It sits behind me, a small circle embraced in dark wood, high above my head. The images are moving so fast, my heart begins to beat rapidly. I feel strange. My body feels light, free. There is no sound. The tick and the tick of the clock are gone. I can’t hear them anymore. There is only silence. My ears search for a noise, any noise. I find only empty space.

BOOK 2: DOLLHOUSE
My eyes are open, but I can’t see anything. It is dark, pitched black. My hands feel around me. Cold and rough ground, cement. I lift my hands above my head trying to find something. There is nothing to find. I feel behind me. Nothing. I slowly stand up and extend my arms in front of me. There is still nothing there. Is anybody there?” No one answers. It is completely silent. All I can hear is my breath. I begin to feel sobs rise inside of me. I hold them down. I don’t have time to break. I have to figure out where I am. I have to figure out how to escape this place.

BOOK 3: MY FRIENDS IN THE SKY
Lying on this soft green grass my mind wonders what new shapes and objects I will discover. The sky is bright blue and as clear as a bell. I hope I see my floating friends today. My eyes reach high into the sky patiently waiting for them to emerge. Slowly, one by one they arrive. Some are soft and puffy, while others are thick and jagged; even some are long and flat. They have always danced for me; turning and twisting into familiar shapes to tell me a story. That was how they communicated.

BOOK 4: ALLUSIONS TO AN ERA
He sits alone in the dark with the tones of Kung Fu Fighting in the air. He clutches a small glass of fifty year old scotch in his hand, his lips are wet from his last sip. The music is low, meant for his ears only. This secret is something he satisfies every night. He envisions taking her into his arms, feeling her warmth, tasting her lips, caressing her face, telling her yes.

BOOK 5: THE BENEFIT GUILD-A FILM NOIR
I pulled my car into the café parking lot off of the highway. It is one that tourist usually stop at, the kind that has everything they need, including gas, restrooms, food, and little trinkets with the state motto on it. Of course the Benefit Guild would pick this place for the first and only meeting. No one will notice us here. I walked into the café and instantly smelled fries and coffee. I stopped at the counter and scanned the room.My eyes stopped as soon as I spotted her, the stranger I was expected to meet. “NO,” I gasp and put my hand over my mouth in order to keep my screams from escaping!

LOVING YOU MAKES ME A BETTER MAN

TO MY WONDERFUL WIFE MARY
ON OUR 48TH ANNIVERSARY

There is that occasional moment when a person is in the right place at the right time – these moments are rare – but when they occur the results will linger for eternity.

Our 48TH anniversary is a time to look back at the good times, forget the bad times, and look ahead.  To live our FUTURE dreams together.

Mary, I don't pretend to know what love is for everyone else, but I can tell you what it is for me; Love is knowing all about someone, and still wanting to be with them more than any other person.

I believe love is learning to trust someone enough to tell them everything about yourself, including the things that may not be so pretty. Love is feeling comfortable and safe with someone, but still getting WEAK KNEES when that person WALKS into the room and SMILES AT YOU.

One of the most wonderful of all things in life, I believe, is the discovery of another human being with whom your relationship has a growing depth, beauty, and joy, as the years fly by.

Love between two people is a most marvelous thing; it is not found by looking for it or by wishing for it. SOMETIMES IT JUST HAPPENS!

Like us on that January day in 1967. LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT, A DIVINE APPOINTMENT, and the MOST WONDERFUL of all things that has ever happened in my life.

God said to me; “This is the girl I have chosen for you!” 2 months later on March 2nd 1967, we married.

Our secret to having a lasting marriage was to understand that marriage must be a total commitment. It must be permanent and it must be equal. We agreed that we would never have or use the word “divorce” in our vocabulary.

Mary, there is no earthly feeling more comforting to me than knowing you have stood right next to me through it all.

The GOOD, the BAD and the SOMETIMES UGLY!!

WE ARE A WORK IN PROGRESS WITH A LIFETIME CONTRACT.

"IT'S YOUR LOVE"

Dancing' in the dark, Middle of the night
Takin' your heart, And holding' it tight
Emotional touch, Touching' my skin
And asking' you to do, What you've been doing' all over again

Oh, it's a beautiful thing, Don't think I can keep it all in
I just got to let you know, What it is that won't let me go

It's your love It just does somethin' to me
It sends a shock right through me
I can't get enough And if you wonder, About the spell I'm under
It's your love

Better than I was, More than I am, And all of this happened,
By takin' your hand
And who I am now, Is who I wanted to be
And now that we're together, I'm stronger than ever
I'm happy and free

Oh, it's a beautiful thing,
Don't think I can keep it all in, no
And if you asked me why I changed
All I got to do is say your sweet name

It's your love It just does somethin' to me
It sends a shock right through me, I can't get enough
And if you wonder, About the spell I'm under
It's your love, Oh, baby

Oh, it's a beautiful thing, Don’t think I can keep it all in
I just got to let you know, What it is that won't let me go

It's your love, It just does somethin' to me
It sends a shock right through me, I can't get enough
And if you wonder, About the spell I'm under
It's your love, It's your love, It's your love
