Matraca Berg is a singer, songwriter, and artist who has written hits for Deana Carter, Faith Hill, and Kenny Chesney. She is married to Nitty Gritty Dirt Band front man and songwriter Jeff Hanna.
You know, I wrote that years ago with Deana Carter. She was making a record on RCA and trying to get some songs written for it. We came up with that. This is sad, but Harlan Howard had died two days before, and Harlan was like an uncle to me. I was not taking it well. They had a video montage at the memorial of people sharing Harlan stories, and Harlan bought me my first shot of tequila when I was about 18. So, later on at the after party (we all went to Tootsie’s [laughs]), his kids kept buying me a shot. They wanted to do a shot of tequila with me in honor of their dad, and I hadn’t drank a shot of tequila in years. So, I got pretty sick. Two days later I was writing with Deana, and I still felt pretty terrible. I told her that story, and we got to talking about Harlan and tequila. You know, I just said, ‘I don’t know what it is, but tequila makes me crazy.’ There is something there, and boom! We wrote it in 20 minutes.

Deana notes in the July 28 issue of Country Weekly, she put more intense focus on her songwriting after the success of Kenny Chesney’s “You and Tequila,” which she wrote with Matraca Berg.
“It’s like I went from zero to 60 all of a sudden,” Deana says. “I was writing more and traveling more. So I had all these songs laying around and I thought that I needed to do something with them. Training Services andSponsoring Services
ONLY: Consulting, Employing Sales Personnel, Employing Telephone People,
Marketing, Advertising, Postage/Mailing, Travel, Office Rent, Management
Expenses, Telephone Expenses, Meeting Rooms, Buying and Shipping Samples,
Refunds, Returns, Direct Mail, Television and Radio Production Cost, Television

4.Client understands because of the “time needed” to do the
initial Advertising, Recruiting, Sponsoring and Training to get an Independent
Referral-Based Business started, it can take up to “Thirty (30) days
or more” to receive the first Commission or Royalty Bonus.
5.With respect to the Client’s
Independent Four Corners Alliance Group Referral-Based Business. Client
understands and agrees that no guarantee can be
made as to theproductivity or performance
of individuals recruited and/or enrolled into theClient’s Independent Four Corners Alliance Group Referral-Based Business.
In fact, as a practical matter, the Client’s
Independent Four Corners Alliance Group Referral-Based Business may vary in
any given time period as to the number of Active Members, recycling volumes
and/or Member enrolling performances.
6.Client understands and agrees that the Client will OWN
and receive all revenues generated through his/her Independent Four Corners
Alliance Group Referral-Based Business.
7.Client agrees to cooperate HELPS Advertising Services, Inc. in the building of the Clients Independent
Referral-Based Business and that the Client will learn to manage his/her Independent
Referral-Based Business. Client further understands and agrees that he/she can

8.HELPS
Advertising Services, Inc. makes every effort to ensure that we accurately represent
our services. The Client accepts the risk that the earnings and income
statements can differ by individual Four Corners Alliance Group Members. Any Four
Corners Alliance Group Referral-Based Business income examples found are not
to be interpreted as any guarantee, promise, representation and/or
assurance of income.
9.If the Four Corners Alliance Group should cease to
continue to do business for any reason, HELPS Advertising Services, Inc. will make every effort to find a suitable
replacement company and continue to utilize its advertising program on the
Client’s behalf to honor and bring to fulfillment the HELPS Advertising Services, Inc. performance
guarantee.
This Agreement is from HELPS
Advertising Services, Inc. ONLY; Its Advertising Performance Guarantee is from
HELPSAdvertising Services, Inc. ONLY and IS INDEPENDENT of Four Corners Alliance Group or any other Network Marketing Company or Companies the Client
may be sponsored into.
Client further understands and agrees that the
amount paid to HELPS
Advertising Services, Inc. is “NOT an
INVESTMENT” of any kind and HELPS
